Cargo Van
The Ford Transit cargo van comes standard with a 3.7-liter V6 engine that produces 266 horsepower and 249 pound-feet of torque. The smaller 3.5-liter turbocharged EcoBoost V6 engine delivers 320 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of low-end torque. It comes with a 6-speed automatic transmission.The cargo van is offered with either single or dual rear wheels. It offers a regular wheelbase is 130 inches, with low and medium roof options, a long wheelbase at 148 inches with low, medium and high roof options, and an extended body on a wheelbase of 148 inches with a high roof option. The base model starts off with 16-inch steel wheels with hubcaps, power mirrors, variable intermittent wipers, a tilt-telescopic steering wheel, power windows, and locks, front air conditioning (long-wheelbase models add rear A/C), power accessories, three 12-volt power points, and a 2-speaker AM/FM stereo with an auxiliary input jack. The options list is long and detailed and includes features such as cargo area LED lighting, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a navigation system, an eight-speaker audio system with Sync voice control, lane departure warning, a rearview camera with trailer hitch assist, and a chrome exterior package.
Cargo XL Wagon
The Ford Transit Wagon XL trim adds 8-passenger seating, tinted windows, front foot-well illumination, a full-length cloth headliner, and six audio speakers. Opting for the 12 and 15 seat passenger versions adds the additional rear air conditioning.
Cargo XLT Wagon
The Ford Transit Wagon XLT trim steps up from the previous model and adds a chrome grille surround, silver wheel covers, automatic chrome-trimmed headlights, rain-sensing wipers, adjustable driver lumbar support, full-floor carpeting, a rear dome lamp with theater dimming, reclining rear seats and an upgraded the 8-speaker CD audio system..
Transit Chassis Cab (CC)
The Transit Chassis Cab sports a fully enclosed cabin used for box vans or rental trucks. It is available in three different wheelbase lengths, 138 inches, 156 inches, and 178 inches. The chassis cab also offers the choice of single or dually rear axles and several nice touches such as a pre-wired body harness and multiple body mount locations. It comes with either a 3.7-liter V6 engine, a 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 engine, or a 3.2-liter Power Stroke diesel engine.
Transit Cutaway (CA)
The Transit Cutaway model leaves the cabin open behind the B-pillars for a pass-through on vehicles such as Class C motorhomes or ambulances. It has three different available wheelbase options,138 inches, 156 inches, and 178 inches. Like the Chassis Cab, the Cutaway offers the choice of single or dually rear axles and several nice touches such as a pre-wired body harness and multiple body mount locations. It also comes with either a 3.7-liter V6 engine, a 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 engine, or a 3.2- liter Power Stroke diesel engine.
